Spending time in Conversation with Older People

If you enjoy speaking to and the company of older people, then why not become a Volunteer Befriender?

You would spend time with our residents at our care home.  Chatting/befriending on a 1-1 basis with the residents.  You could also read out articles in the daily newspaper, play board games or just spend some time in general conversation. If you can play a musical instrument, this is welcome too.

As a Volunteer Befriender, you would have a friendly nature, good communication skills and empathy with older people.

If you enjoy the company of older people and have a caring nature, we are waiting to hear from you.
