Get Involved in our friendly café

If you like to meet and help people, and would like to get involved in the hustle and bustle of our wellbeing centre (café ), then come on down.

Volunteers are able to help in this friendly café serving refreshments and light snacks.

You could help with:

  • Taking orders and serving

  • Using the till (training provided)

  • Light cooking (training provided)

  • Clearing and washing up

  • Cleaning tables at close and getting everything popped away. 

You would need to take and pass the Essential Food Handling Certificate, but don’t worry, the organisation will provide you with full information and guidance for this.
The café is a well-used environment with a constant flow of customers. Different activities take place on different days.

Also, available is the Warm Welcome Lunch at the Wellbeing Centre (café) on Holton Road, Barry.

The café will be able to open the space longer, serving soup, a roll and a hot drink free of charge for up to 30 people a day, Monday to Friday between midday and 2pm until the end of March.  They are also looking for volunteers to help here.

If you would like to meet new people, help a good cause, we would love to see you.

Time commitment:  Available Monday - Friday 9:30 - 12:30pm, days are negotiable with the organisation.
Expenses reimbursed:
Travel expenses are reimbursed.
Training provided:
Full training is provided.
